Plastic and glass dry at different rates. Cleaning plastic items in your dishwasher will decrease the drying performance and may mean wet dishes when your wash is done.

It’s best to wash your plastic dishes by hand and leave your dishwasher for everything else, unless you don’t mind wet dishes.
